Circolo Nautico Posillipo has reached an agreement with Alinghi Racing Italia to host Tudor Team Alinghi during the Preliminary Regatta scheduled to take place in the Gulf of Naples from September 24 to 27, 2026.

A technical headquarters inside the historic yacht club
Under the agreement, Tudor Team Alinghi will be able to use dedicated facilities at Circolo Nautico Posillipo throughout the competition.
The club’s Capri Room will accommodate the technical equipment required to monitor the Swiss crew’s performance and follow racing developments in real time.
The arrangement will also allow club members to experience the excitement of the America’s Cup from a different perspective, gaining closer insight into the activities surrounding a professional sailing campaign.
In addition to the facilities ashore, the club will provide a dedicated berth for Alinghi’s support boat, enabling team personnel to follow the racing action directly on the water.
Naples’ sailing clubs join the international competition
The agreement highlights the growing involvement of Naples’ historic nautical institutions in the build-up to the 2027 America’s Cup.
Circolo Nautico Posillipo joins several other local clubs already connected with participating teams, including Circolo del Remo e della Vela Italia with Luna Rossa, Reale Yacht Club Canottieri Savoia with Emirates Team New Zealand, and Circolo Canottieri Napoli with the British challenger.
These partnerships bring the international sailing community closer to the city’s maritime heritage while helping establish Naples as a central destination for the upcoming competition.
With the Preliminary Regatta approaching, the arrival of Tudor Team Alinghi at Circolo Nautico Posillipo adds another chapter to the city’s preparations for the 38th America’s Cup in 2027
